Be kind. There is no “us versus them” we are in it together!

If you feel recurrently tired, irritable, overwhelmed, anxious and hesitant to follow the news, you are not alone!

We are going through a long period of recurrent collective Trauma that is not giving us a break: pandemics, wars, economic hardships, mass shootings, women’s rights ripped off, horrible news of all kinds of abuse and social injustice, etc.

It activates our deep fears and pains and overloads our nervous system – without a break for years now!

It can make us chronically stressed, irritable, tired, sad, angry, and feeling helpless.

Also, we may have a tendency of thinking more of “us versus them” in an unconscious attempt to feel safer in a certain tribe. But, it makes everything harder for all of us.

So, keep breathing and being kind to yourself and others! It is a tough time for everyone!

The Wisdom of Trauma, Dr. Gabor MateThat is the reason I wanted to bring to attention this documentary featuring this incredible psychologist and human being, Dr. Gabor Mate, “The Wisdom About Trauma.”  The movie is made for the general public and is very informative and touching. It can help bring us closer, instead of pushing us apart. It is a way to help us better understand and be more supportive of one another.
