Feel More Grounded a Calm

Recurrently feeling stressed, fatigued, overwhelmed, lost or other unpleasant feelings signals that we have forgotten ourselves. It shows that we spend too much time and energy on what drains our energy and little on what nurtures us.

When we spend time being more connected with ourselves, doing more of what nurtures our body, mind and soul, we feel more grounded and have more sense of calm, peace and trust. We also can more easily tap into our inner guidance.

And to help bring you closer to all of these good feelings and your inner guidance, I made a guided meditation to encourage you to take a few minutes to cultivate the most important connection and relationship of your day: with yourself.

I suggested this guided meditation be done first thing in the morning and right before sleep. In the morning, you will help bring a sense of groundedness, calm, peace and trust to the rest of your day. Right before bedtime will help you get the same feeling into your sleep.

It takes only 15 minutes to nurture this connection with yourself and see your energy and mood changing over time. So give it a try for one week, and let me know what changes for you.

And if you have difficulty meditating alone, it can help to have a start with others – it can be a group or an individual session. That is because having the presence of someone else who can hold a calm and safe space can help you calm your nervous system through co-regulation. Co-regulation is a primal resource and one of the best ways to help us calm down and develop certain skills.

I have had many clients who believed that they couldn’t meditate or that their imagination didn’t “work right.” But, when we worked together, I helped them discover not only that they could meditate but also that they had a rich source of inner wisdom. And from that place, they could better connect with themselves, and their inner guidance and have more clarity and action towards what they wanted.
